How does the auto-detection work?

We compare each page's /Rotate value to its MediaBox dimensions. If the box is portrait but the rotation flips it to landscape (or vice versa), the page is flagged and we suggest the corrective angle.

Will it modify pages that look fine?

No. Only flagged pages are rotated. Pages with a 0° rotation matching their box shape are left alone.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The whole process runs in your browser via pdf-lib. The PDF never leaves your device.

What about visually rotated text in a portrait page?

We can only detect rotation set on the page itself — not text painted at an angle inside a page. For that, you'll need an OCR-based tool.

What if I want PDFs that never need fixing?

Will the file size change after fixing?

Almost not at all. We only update the rotation flag — page content, fonts, and images are left untouched, so the output is virtually identical in size to the source.
